IDDD

So what is IDDD? It's International Dumb Driver Day, which must have been today judging by the number of idiots on the road this morning. Saw a pick-up almost hit the k-rail as he attempted to not miss his exit (he was unsuccessful in that attempt, but had to make a violent swerve back into the lane to avoid the k-rail). Then less than 3 minutes later saw two cars nearly collide as they both decided to merge into the same lane (both were signaling, but I guess they weren't really paying attention to each other), then within 5 minutes of that saw two other cars pull the same stunt. Then I was in a 20-minute traffic jam caused by an overturned semi. Didn't look like anyone was seriously injured in that, thank goodness, but the spilled load was blocking a couple lanes & really backed things up.

Found a couple more items for the upcoming All-iday party. Got six American flags for only fifty cents apiece at the grocery store, then today got some of those yummy peanut butter taffy pieces that you can only get at Halloween. OK, as far as I know Sis & I are the only two people on the planet who actually like these, but what the heck. Doesn't look like we're going to have a huge crowd, but that's OK.

Hmm, just remembered we are having a potluck at work on Friday. Maybe I'll make some Kitchen Wall Corn Casserole (no, it isn't made with a wall; I got the recipe off the wallpaper in the kitchen of a friend's house). The advantage to this is it tastes good at any temperature--hot out of the oven, cold out of the fridge, or anywhere in between.
