Afterwards they held a health fair (or as it was posted on the directional sign, a "health fare") which was OK. One of the vendors didn't even show up, and at most of the others the reps just sat at the tables handing out stickers to show you had gone to their booth (seven stickers on your card allowed you to enter the raffle). Some of them were a little more active, and I think the best one was the local vet. The rep from there was standing in front of her booth rather than sitting behind it, actively promoting the vet & handing out informative brochures. The stickers were obviously secondary to her, which is how it should be.
Of course, spending 3-1/2 hours away from the office made the rest of the day pass more quickly.
We have some friends, GH & BH, who have been down on their luck for a while. They may be coming to stay with us for a few months. They're going to come out sometime on Saturday to see if there is enough room for this to work out for them. It'll take a lot of clearing out stuff, but I think it will work.
